Coming Up at Our Next Meeting (Thursday June 12th, 2008)

Digital Television
by Herman Badler

Most of us have watched countless hours of Television through the years. Think about the role it plays in your life. But what if TV as we know it were to suddenly become obsolete in the near future? On February 17, 2009, that's exactly what's going to happen. Television will make a dramatic change. On that date the United States will make the switch to Digital or DTV. How will you be affected by this change? What will be the best ways to cope with it?

TV sets have undergone dramatic transformation in recent years. Plasma, LCD's, DLP, 1080i, 1080p. 720p, are among the myriad of options. Which TV set and what size will work best for you?

Additionally, Club President Grant Fleming will offer a brief presentation to show the features of Microsoft's new Home Server Operating System and the HP MediaSmart Server.

Please join us for dinner at the Ashlawn Grill before the meeting. The public is invited .
Call Grant at 589-5816 or email  grantfleming@embarqmail.com for information.
